The Last of Us
Because we haven't had enough of pandemics and such. Watch out for mushrooms.
Because we haven't had enough of pandemics and such. Watch out for mushrooms.
The Last of Us, the video game that everyone now suspiciously says they'd already played, sneakily made its television debut. With the subtlety of a clicker in a library, HBO decided January 15th, 2023, was the perfect time to release the TV adaptation in the U.S., with the U.K. getting a glimpse the following day.
HBO, in a modest move, only dished out a meager $10+ million per episode. Pedro Pascal, who's been in a couple of low-profile series (Game of Thrones, Narcos, The Mandalorian), took up the mantle of Joel, with Bella Ramsey, another GoT alum, as Ellie. The series promised to bring a fresh gust of post-apocalyptic winter air right into the living rooms of millions who were, no doubt, waiting with bated breath.
Because Forekasters watch way too much TV and play way too many video games. Oh, and we can see the future.
